Up for sale is an early American Colonial School mid to late 18th Century Oil on Canvas Painting of a Family Scene in a circa late 19th to early 20th Century Frame. It features a wonderful colonial settler scene of three young children approaching their weary father whom appears to be a market peddler since there is a wheelbarrow full of bread loaves. it is quite detailed and appears to be unsigned, measuring a large 33 7/8" x 28 3/4" total in frame with the painting itself at 30" x 25". It is in very good condition consistent with age. See photos and above details for full condition description. This is a fantastic rare and highly sought after early Colonial American School piece with excellent subject matter with a high quality restoration job that would look exceptional in any home or library. Not examined under blacklight, appears to be unsigned on the front. Free shipping includes full insurance to your door for domestic US addresses.
