William Joseph Shayer (1811 – ca. 1860) was an English painter of the Victorian era, the son of the well-known artist William Shayer Sr. (1787–1879). Both belonged to a popular 19th-century family of painters and often collaborated on artworks — the father specialized in rural scenes, while the son developed these subjects further, giving them a more romantic and detailed character.
