Vintage WILLIAM ALBANESE Baltimore Maryland Artist Oil Painting Kids Baseball

VINTAGE ORIGINAL PAINTING ON CANVAS BY WILLIAM ALBANESE The featured item represents an original oil painting on stretched canvas that measures approximately 17 7/8" X 23 7/8". There is no frame. The artwork depicts a lovely children baseball scene with tree boys by a fence and a man on the other side giving or taking one of the boys bat. The lower right is signed with "W. Albanese". William Albanese Sr. has a BFA and Master's Equivalent in art education from the Maryland Institute College of Art. Mr. Albanese taught in the Baltimore County School System for Thirty-one years. He is now living in Palmetto,Florida retired, and painting full-time. Mr. Albanese has exhibited in the Dead End Saloon (Fells Point Balto.), Worthington Gallery (Bulter Md.), Gallery Thirty (Gettysburg Pa.), Hanover Area Arts Guild (Hanover Pa.), and the York Art Association (York Pa.). Mr. Albanese is a member of the Oil Painters of America (OPA), and the International Guild of Realism (IGOR). He exhibits in both group and solo shows selling works through exhibits and private commissions. Mr. Albanese's favorite artists are Frans Hals and Jan Vermeer. He prefers the Flemish Medium which enables him to use glazes similar to the old masters. The painting comes in overall good conition for its age with no major damages found but normal vintage wear like some scuffs, marks and scratches.
