Vintage James O. Bell Small Mountain Landscape Painting - Frame 5”x6”

Found at an estate sale, this lovely vintage 4" x 5" framed oil or acrylic painting on board by Northwest artist James O. Bell shows a forested mountain landscape. The style is impressionistic. It’s signed by the artist in the lower right corner and also on the back (see photos). It's framed without glass in an attractive 5” x 6” wood frame and the colors are bright and vibrant (see photos). The second photo shows a 12” ruler for scale. As is unfortunately all too often the case at estate sales, I wasn't able to learn anything about the artist or about the age and history of this lovely painting, which I would guess to date from the 1980’s or earlier. This framed picture weighs only 4 oz., making it easy to hang.
