Vintage Impressionist Acrylic Painting of Westminster Abbey

Here is an impressionist acrylic painting on canvas of a view of Westminster Abbey. The view which features the front portal of the abbey is flanked by the two clock towers. Big Ben can be seen in the background. The vivid colors and loose brushstrokes convey a bright day in Central London with double decker buses passing by and tourists milling about in front of the structure.The painting measures 19” by 23 ½” to sight and 23” by 27 ½” in the wood frame with a linen liner. The artist signed the work “L Thorpe” on the lower right corner. condition is very good, previous owner put Union Jack tape over the staples in the back, no other issues.
