🔥 Vintage Fantasy Dungeons & Dragons Goblin Warrior Cat Painting - KOCICH, 1980

This is a whimsical and very cool Vintage Fantasy Dungeons & Dragons Goblin Warrior Cat Painting, Watercolor on Paper, by the New York Science Fiction and Fantasy book illustrator, Carl J. Kocich (1948 - 2021.) Kocich is most well-known for his illustrations in J.G. Eastwood's The Dragon Trilogy series. This artwork depicts a band of fierce Lilliputian warriors in battle attire, several of whom ride upon a ferocious orange kitten, as they confront a small Goblin who has kidnapped one of their battle sisters. In the background, a large iron gate, possibly the entrance to a dungeon, is visible. Signed and dated: "C. Kocich '80" in the lower right corner. Additionally, this piece is titled, signed, and annotated on the verso: "HEY YOU!!! Carl J. Kocich...Binghamton, NY..." Approximately 12 3/8 x 18 3/8 inches (including frame.) Actual visible artwork is approximately 9 x 15 inches. This painting was acquired from the contents of a Los Angeles County estate which belonged to a serious and longtime Dungeons & Dragons player and collector, who had owned nearly 1,000 vintage pewter miniature figurines, most of which were still in their original boxes. Very good condition for age and storage. To my knowledge, this is the first original artwork by Kocich to ever be publicly offered for sale.
