I purchased this wonderful painting from the estate of a long time antique dealer who had the most amazing collection of artwork and Americana artifacts. Regarding Andrew Weigand, the painter, I was able to find another painting that was sold at a gallery, the asking price was $500. The painting from this gallery was signed in the same manner and spelling of the one that I have here, the gallery painting by A. Weigand was dated 1931. This charming painting is oil on board. 18 x 23.5 inches. Unframed. Please note the indents on the painting edges where it would have sat in a frame. This painting would probably benefit from a professional cleaning but it is lovely as it is, I have overhead lighting on for the photos.
