Millet assis devant sa maison Rue des artistes a Barbizon en 1870 in pencil on the lower left. The platemark measures 6 7/8 X 9 ¼ inches, with the paper measuring 11 X 12 ¼ inches. It is an excellent impression, in excellent condition, aside from a crease on the upper left. It is not laid down, nor has any foxing, or tears. Estimate $350-450. NO RESERVE. Painter and engraver Victor Maunier was born in Marseilles, in 1890 and studied at the "Ecole Nationale des Beaux Arts", in 1931, where he presented an engraving titled Le Pont Marie � Paris. Maunier's success allowed him to have 2 different addresses in Montmartre. On the back of the frame is signed by Mrs. Wilkinson who's family arrived in Virginia in 1635.14"
