These are a very fine pair of paintings by very well known French listed artist : Victor Goulard (1848-1922) There is brass tag on one that reads:Victor Goulard fr- 1848.Both have great subject of Postmaster deceiving a beautiful young girl and the other is fitting a dress on a woman . Both are signed on the lower right and it reads:V.Goulard. Both pieces are in very good condition for its age.The original hnad-carved wood frames measures about:19 3/4" by :15 3/4" and:20 1/2" by:16 1/2" and oil paintings sizes are:15 7/8" by :12" and:16" by:12 1/8".
