Born in Altai region,Russia. He graduated from Alma-Ata Art College (1940-44) and Kyiv Institute of Art (1944-50) where he studied under the guidance of A.Petritskiy; K.Eleva; T.Yablonskaya. Since 1951 he participated in the republican exhibitions.People's Artist of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic since 1977.
