IMPRESSIONIST LANDSCAPE OIL PAINTING, signed, unframed, 8x10 in. This is one of my works painted in 1992 of a pasture near Brenham, Texas. In 1984, I attended a workshop taught by Henry Hensche, aged 92, in Louisiana to understand his "American Impressionist" method of painting the "color of the light scheme". I continued to study with Professor Sammy Britt, a long-time student of Henry Hensche, at Delta State U, Mississippi, in the Master's in Art Ed. program. Please see Sammy's and Henry's paintings on their respective websites. I usually paint with an Italian painting knife (not a palette knife) and oil paint on board. For this smaller composition, I used Egbert brushes. I earned my Bachelor of Fine Art degree at the University of Texas, Austin, 1973. I now reside in Florida and will continue to list work. The photos include a closeup of my signature, the masonite back, a close-up of my signature, and areas of the painting to show brush strokes and surface. The masonite board is 1/4 inch thick. I could not enter this measurement in the dimension section. Please "hover" and "zoom" to see the brush stroke texture. I will send a separate Letter of Authenticity on request. Thanks.
