Signed Jess Cauthorn AWS (1923-2005) Watercolor Painting 23”x29” C-1960

This listing is for a beautiful watercolor that captures the peaceful tranquility of a Pacific Northwest coastal landscape, circa 1960. It signed to the lower right by Jess Cauthorn (1923-2005). This piece is presented behind non-glare glass in a wood frame. It measures 23” high x 29” diameter. The artwork is in pristine condition. The frame has scratches. Jeff Cauthorn was a member of the American Watercolor Society, Puget Sound Group of Northwest Painters, and the Northwest Watercolor Society. His artwork is held in the permanent collections of numerous museums including the Seattle Art Museum, the Frye Museum, and the National Infantry Museum in Fort Benning, Georgia. In 1959, Cauthorn began a teaching career that would lead him to become both owner and director of the Burnley School of Professional Art. He sold the business in 1982 and stayed on as president for its rebirth as the Art Institute of Seattle. Take a look at the photos for any and all condition issues.
