Rosetta Bohnert Art Ocean Rock Beach Waves Sky Still Life b1885 d1980 Hudson NY

This is an original oil canvass art piece by Rosetta Bohnert whom lived from 1885 to 1980. This art piece captures a beach scene where waves crash into rocks on a blustery day. Presumed to be in the Hudson, New York area where she spent most of her days. Bohnert was mostly a contemporary still life and portrait artist and was married to Hertbert Bohnert whom was an artist as well. You will find many still life flower pieces she created, but her larger landscape pieces were not as prolific. Rosetta Bohnert was a solid contributor to the art world during her life, writing articles and supporting art organizations. This piece is in acceptable condition with no tears in the canvass. There are several some small chips of paint from the canvass throughout the piece where the canvass shows through, but overall still looks great on the wall. The canvass portion piece is approximately 28" tall x 36" wide. With the frame the piece measures approximately 35" tall x 43" wide. Original frame is still in acceptable condition.
