Oil on Masonite. Signed on front at lower right corner. Simple, serene subject of a small lake with reflected trees. The branches at lower left imply the artist inserted his point of view into the composition (versus the lake taking up the entire foreground, as is more common), but probably what made the subject attractive was the contrast between the dark evergreens and the thin, almost whisp-like trunks of the trees nearer the water's edge.
