Georgina Paige Pinneo was born on a farm near Waterville, Nova Scotia in 1896. She studied at Acadia University, the Nova Scotia College of Art (1921) and in Montreal. Later she studied under Stanley Woodward and William Lester Stevens in Rockport, Massachusetts.
