Pius August Lautenbacher was a son of well-known physician living in the early 19th century in Bavarian town Bamberg. He was a leibarzt (personal physician) of the Duke Wilhelm in Bavaria. In 1818 he founded the famous tub-bathhouse in Castle Geyerswoerth (Bamberg).
