Outstanding Antique Children Boy Portrait Oil Painting 19th Century, Repairs

Up for sale is a stunning antique portrait of a young boy executed in oil on canvas measuring 20 x 18 inches while its newer wood frame measures 22.75 x 20.75 inches. This early 19th century / late 18th century portrait shows the boy looking directly at the viewer, wearing a deep blue shirt with rosy skin and soft eyes. This well executed portrait is of exceptional quality and one I find highly attractive. I greatly enjoy the gold oval window/frame that is painted giving this the appearance of being double framed and or matted. Unsigned, this painting bears no artist signatures or monograms and is an early example, possibly American. The condition of this painting shows damage and repairs both decent and poor. Work shows patching, tear repair, in painting, scratches, craquelure and wear to its newer frame.
