Original Vintage HEIDI LINDY 'Common Loon' Birds PAINTING -Royal Cornwall Artist

ORIGINAL HEIDI LINDY 'COMMON LOON' PAINTING This is just a great original piece. I recently purchased a small collection of animal paintings, primarily for a painting that I wanted for my personal collection. I wasnt even sure what was in the remainder of the other collection. When I got it home, I was happy to learn that 2 of the paintings in the group were original paintings by well known animal artist Heidi Lindy. Though I cannot find a complete biography I have found that she was an artist who did many series of paintings that were published on plates for Royal Cornwall. Particularly she is most known for the Woodland Series Babies that was done in the early 1980s. This is a wonderful original painting of a couple common loon, as it is titled in pencil lower left. Signed and dated in 1986 lower right. Watercolor on paper measuring about 11 1/2 x 15 1/2 inches. Excellent condition. There are some spotting to the painting that you can most see in the margins but nothing too bad. Still a very good painting. Original matte has a diecut section that has an original "loonie" or Canadian dollar. The loonie came out in 1987 so perhaps this painting was some sort of commemorative edition or something like that. Simple wood frame is complimentary and ready to hang.
