A product of Turner Manufacturing, Fashion Plate Wall Accessories (Product T-970), this heavy paint impasto texture is credited to Pedro Martinez and measures an impressive 31" x 56" fully framed, with the visible image measuring 23 1/2" x 48". Evocative of the early 1960s, the images within this painting are equally pleasing -- the sailboats, the gondoliers, the tourists standing in the gondola... All of it works. The label on the reverse (see image) tells of the artist's life (he was 28 at the time) and says he painted this in 1961. The ideal item to add an extra spark your mid-century decor.
