Ron Johnson was born the son of Missionaries in Zamboanga City, Philippines on September 26, 1968. He studied Japanese water color painting from Yoshio Ikezaki in the early 1990s in Los Angeles. He later attended and graduated from The Pennsylvania Academy of The Fine Arts in 2000 where he received the Henry J. Scheidt Travel Scholarship amongst other honors. He now resides in Collingswood, NJ. Artist Statement: “The beauty you are pursuing is right in front of you, where it has always been, wondering when you will notice.”
