This beautiful fine stipple and cross-hatch ink drawing is on textured cardstock measuring 5" X 7". Depicting a German Albatros D.III World War I fighter aircraft. Clearly showing the distinct "V" shaped interplane struts and the "Balkenkreuz" (bar cross) military insignia used by the Imperial German Army Air Service (Luftstreitkrafte). It was created, titled and signed by the artist David Riecke. Also, on the back is a signed note from the artist to the buyer (we purchased this from the buyers estate), This piece, as well as another painting from the same artist (which we will be listing soon) was kept in an envelope from the artist to the buyer post-marked in 2007.
