PAINTING: Oil on canvas. The painting is an impressionistic rendering of a rough and uneven terrain and a shrubbery consisting of a good mixture of deciduous trees and flowering bushes. In the background to the left one can vaguely see the contours of Roskilde Cathedral, which is the most famous cathedral in Denmark due to the fact, that ever since the Middle Ages it has been the burial site of most Danish kings and queens.
