New England winter painting naive impressionist 1979 signed Titus poss. Vermont

A charming impressionist-naive painting of a snowy village scene with old houses, sleighs, tiny figures, trees, signed at lower right and inscribed there "To our Helen/ (?) Titus/April 1979". The 16" by 20" unframed work is in oil on canvas. The store in center has "R. Titus" on it as a "sign"; so our artist may well be an R. Titus. There is a known Vermont painter by the name Earl Titus, who passed away in 1962; one contemplates whether this may be by a relative. Put a frame on this colorful, well-executed work and enjoy it for what it is. The style reminds a bit of Pennsylvania painter Walter Emerson Baum.
