This is a fantastic mid century oil on canvas painting by the well known artist John Cuthbert Hare. The scene is coastal and features the edge of a body of water. The style is modernist with sharp lines and bright colors. Even the clouds have hard lines and the grass looks like it could cut you. This is a very edgy painting with a stylized look. The canvas measures about 9&1/8" x 11&7/8". Total framed size is about 11&1/2" x 14&1/2". John Hare did this style of painting over the course of his career.
