Mid Century Modern Original Middle Eastern Arabic Impressionist Oil Painting Wonderful and unique Mid Century oil painting from Saudi Arabia in the Middle East. The original owner worked as an engineer overseas during the 60s and he brought back several nice oil paintings from his time there. This painting is an oil on stretched canvas and depicts a Middle Eastern Arab Market. The colors are bold and the painting is both vibrant and moody. It is very special and unique. The painting measures a generous 43"L x 30.5"T. It is framed in a gold leaf gesso over wood frame and the frame shows significant wear to the gesso, probably from it being shipped to the U.S. from the Middle East many years ago. It was proudly displayed exactly as is shown and we rather like the distressed frame which attests to an entirely different life, locale and time.
