Many years long thought to be a portrait of Valerian Zubov by Augustin Ritt, this miniature (due to attribution of Dr. Alexander Kibovskiy (Moscow; see our image nr.6)) turned out to be a schoulder- (i.e.partial) variation of the miniature portrait of Russian Major-General Nikolai Dmitrievich Arseniev (1754-1796) by Karl Bechon (1832-1812) from the collection of Moscow Museum "Ostankino".
