Original 1981 impressionist oil on canvas painting by Luc Cossier dit Walles, also known as Lucien C. dit Walles and signing as L.K. Walles. The composition depicts an atmospheric Paris canal scene with moored barges, winter trees, reflective water, and softened city architecture beneath a pale mist-filled sky. Executed with heavily textured palette knife work and mosaic-like surface effects influenced by French Impressionism and Byzantine-inspired texture. Signed and dated lower right “L.K. Walles 81” and additionally signed, titled, and dated verso “Paris lundi matinée 18.11.81”. Canvas measures 46 by 55 cm and framed size measures 50.5 by 59 cm.
