Listed Argentinian Artist Lisandro Lopez Baylon* Signed, on lower right, this Impressionist Riverscape scene with Victorian Figures. It is an Original Oil on Canvas c. 1990's -2000's, we believe. View of an underdeveloped area of the Seine river, in Paris, c. Late 19th C. An arched, stone bridge spans the river, with three boats moored near the brick and stone embankments. Though an overcast day (more dream-like), there is a spot of sunshine where several figures with parasols have gathered for a stroll and a look at the vista ahead of them. He studied at the Pan-American School of Arts as well as the School of Fine Arts, both in the city of Buenos Aires. Since 1971, he has dedicated his energies exclusively to painting. He has lived and presented expositions in the different cities of South and Central America. In 1977, he came to the United States for the first time, and since then has painted in different areas of the country. Traveling has been his custom since he left his country. From his travels, he has gained tremendous insight from the distinctive realities of the various countries as expressed in the dramatization of his paintings.
