Lázaro Enrique's professional experience has been broad and comprehensive. In 1967, he enrolled in the National School of Art with the purpose of studying painting. In his third year of the program, he became interested in graphic design, specifically illustration and logo design, and switched to study at the newly created School of Industrial and Informational Design (ISDI). In 1974, Lázaro enrolled in the Faculty of Journalism at the University where he worked systematically with the Moncada magazine, which helped him to complement his training in two disciplines that would define his creative work, illustration and calligraphy. He graduated in journalism in 1977 and defined a visual poetics that linked the beauty of a stroke in a verse with the line and stroke that define an image. LAZARO ENRIQUE REYES. Pintor. Dibujante. La experiencia profesional de Lázaro Enrique ha sido amplia y abarcadora, en 1967 ingresa en la Escuela Nacional de Arte, con el propósito de estudiar pintura. En el tercer año de la carrera, se siente motivado por el diseño gráfico, en particular, por la ilustración y el diseño de logotipos, por lo que pasa a estudiar a la recién creada Escuela de Diseño Industrial e Informacional (ISDI), pero en 1974, Lázaro ingresa en la Facultad de Periodismo de la Universidad donde, colabora sistemáticamente con la revista Moncada, esta colaboración lo entrenó para complementar su formación en dos manifestaciones que definirían su obra creativa ,la ilustración y la caligrafía. Se gradúa de periodismo en 1977 y define una poética visual que emparenta la belleza de un trazo en un verso con la línea y el rasgo que define una imagen.
