He always signed his works as 'Byron Cooper'. Graves lists thirty one works exhibited at the Royal Academy (before 1904). Cooper was accomplished in both oil and watercolour. His views of Cornwall received much acclaim and he also painted various landscapes associated with Tennyson for whom he had great admiration.
