Edmond Francis Woods was born in Ogden, a University of Utah graduate; he studied under LeConte Stewart. Woods also studied in Los Angeles at the prestigious Otis Art Institute and the Chouinard Art Institute. He moved to San Diego, California in 1926 were he spent time studying under Maurice Braun. Edmond Woods paintings were highly prized in California, Arizona, Utah, and Colorado. His patrons included presidents and celebrities. Woods exhibited at shows for the La Jolla Art Association, San Diego Artist's Guild, Riverside Art Association, National City Art Association, and the Desert Art Center in Palm Springs and was a member of these associations as well. Much of his works are held in the permanent collection of the Ford Motor Company. Condition: This painting is in excellent original condition, regardless of never having been cleaned.
