KUNIO KOMATSUZAKI (1931–1992). Born in Tokyo in 1931, he studied at the prestigiousTokyo University of the Arts, where he was influenced by leading painters such asSōtarō Yasui. Works by Komatsuzaki are held in major Japanese public collections, including theThe National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo, which owns his 1964 oil painting.
