This painting was done at the Albuquerque Rose Garden on May 28th 2002. when I returned to paint more the following year the roses had all been cut back and have yet to recover. I'm glad to have caught it at its peak. The paint quality conveys the sense of urgency I felt trying to capture it. It is painted on a 20x24 inch commercially prepared stretched canvas, uframed and unsigned.
