My work explores spirituality, identity, and self consciousness as it relates to Neuromelanin. I play with these ideas through paintings, sculptures, and multi-sensory interactive art installations. Currently I’m interested in how the creative process can embodied the energy of magical entities and of spiritual alters for self-empowerment. My paintings are rendered in a blend of traditional and unconventional art materials. My environments are a surreal fantasia on themes such as the complex aesthetics, narratives, and metaphors that attach to Neuro-melanin (NW). My intention is to activate the audience’s imagination by creating a surreal setting that engage the senses.  I was born in Haiti and moved to South Florida in 1988. I earn BFAs in painting and graphic design from the New World School of the Arts/University of Florida. My work has been exhibited in Florida, New York and throughout the Caribbean. Im represented in numerous private collections, including those of the Rubell Family Collection, and the Lisa & Arturo Mosquera Collection.  I have twice received the South Florida Cultural Consortium Fellowship Award in 2006 and 2012.
