Attributable to Georges ROUAULT (1871-1958). Between 1939 and 1946,Georges Rouault painted a series of paintings entitled Biblical Scenes. In France during the Second World War, painting materials were scarce and it is undoubtedly for this reason that our painting was painted on a burlap.
