This is painted on hardboard, and Plein Air. I walked out into the hot Florida sun to paint this in the afternoon. The Cactus was quite tiny and in a sandy part of the trail. Yes, I could've taken a picture and painted it back at the studio, but there's nothing like painting with your own eyes.
