🔥 Fine Antique 19th c. Native American Folk Art Indians Landscape Oil Painting

This is a beautiful and Fine Antique 19th c. Native American Folk Art Indians Landscape Oil Painting on canvas, depicting a dreamlike and enchanting landscape scene, with tall, jagged peaks, a sunset sky, waterfalls, and calm lake waters. In the foreground, a small Native American encampment is visible, with several figures sitting in a circle conversing, and two teepees with a lone male figure thoughtfully sitting by himself. Nearby, a small canoe can be seen. This artwork likely depicts an imaginative rendering of New York's Hudson River Valley, and the indigenous figures depicted are likely Munsee (Lenape), Mohicans, or Mohawks. This piece does not appear to be signed, but perhaps you recognize the artist or their work? This artwork likely dates from the 1860's - 1880's. Approximately 25 x 34 inches (including frame.) Actual artwork is approximately 18 1/2 x 27 3/4 inches. Very good condition for age, with one pinhole to the canvas, a few scuffs, lightly oxidized varnish at the upper edge, and evidence of an old repair to the upper right edge of the canvas (please see photos.) Acquired from an old family collection of New York Hudson River School paintings and early American Folk art pieces in Los Angeles County, California.
