In 1939, Porfirio Salinas began working with Dewey Bradford, one of the great characters of Texas art. In 1967, Bradford helped to organize the production of the book of Texas stories " Bluebonnets and Cactus" (Austin:Pemberton Press: 1967) which was profusely illustrated with Salinas Paintings.
