Condition: Damaged! This original artwork is dirty with condition issues. There is small paint loss under the horse in 4 spots, 1 spot having multiple. There is scratching in the tree on the right and scratching makes above horses head in sky. The suede-like matting is also very dirty. The frame has dings and the bottom left is missing a chunk. With some conservation and restoration this will be a great piece. Painting size: Approximately 16” x 24” Frame size: Approximately 33.5” x 25.5” The back has the original Overlook Trail Galleries sticker and two stamps also from Overlook Galleries. He has been interested in art since childhood. Self-taught at a young age, De Haan has also worked with horses for most of his life. During his rodeo career, he rode his first bull at age thirteen, and later specialized in bronc riding. He has done artwork for many Western magazine and catalog covers, and even headed up his own advertising agency for twelve years.As an accomplished rodeo rider, rancher, and cutting horse trainer, this multifaceted man has successfully intertwined the threads of art and ranching throughout much of his adult life. Following an unswerving dedication to excellence, Chuck has achieved a well-deserved reputation for artistic skill among his contemporaries in the arts, as well as with the many collectors who own his posters, prints and paintings.
