The painting is in the Jamaican intuitive style and shows Miss Lou standing in front of a house painting by Harris (that is signed and dated) and next to a Jamaican flag that is also signed by the artist. On the back of the panel is a handwritten list consisting of the title, artist, medium, signature, and date (20 October 2006). Also taped on the back is an invoice from the Harmony Hall Art Gallery in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Chris Harris is a young artist, born in 1974, who has gained national recognition in just a few years after he began his artistic career in 2000. In 2010, the National Gallery of Jamaica included him among 14 artists in their Young Talent exhibition, the first time since 2002 that they mounted a young talent show.
