Charlie deMar, was exposed to art at a very young age and always enjoyed it, because his mother was a successful textile designer. In his senior year he won a $500 dollar art scholarship contest. H attended Parsons School of Design in N.Y.C., sticking with art is what he enjoyed doing, and being inspired by illustrators Rockwell, Leyendecker, Parrish, etc. Charlie worked very hard at developing his skills. At the age of 21, he was lucky to land a job at Bill Gold Advertising in N.Y.C., creating movie advertising art. Charlie now was in the big leagues, which was scary at times, the competition was unreal. Something about his style was attractive to clients, and he was able to continue to develop and grow as an artist over the next few decades. He has worked on 150 movie campaigns for all the major studios and did a lot of print advertisement assignments for various ad agencies nationwide. Charlie deMar is a realistic painter, self taught, his unique art is exhibited throughout the United States. Born in New York, now resides in Los Angeles. deMar has worked with various movie industries for over 20 years. deMar paintings and original artwork are recognized for his signature style.
