Magnificent Oil Painting on Fiber Board by Calvin Waller Burnett.Original - signed by the artist. The painting is in excellent condition. The frame was damaged in shipping and will need to be replaced. See the photos. We had planned on updating the frame to something more contemporary and disposing of the current frame. We would prefer to ship the painting without the frame unless you would like it. Framed it is about 28.5 by 24.5 inches.Calvin Waller Burnett was an American painter, engraver, lithographer and illustrator born in 1921. He was born in Cambridge, MA and graduated from the Massachusetts College of Art in 1942. He received a doctorate in Fine Arts from Boston University in 1960.From Wikipedia:"Calvin Burnett (July 18, 1921, Cambridge, Massachusetts - October 8, 2007, in Medway, Massachusetts) was an African American artist, illustrator and art educator.
