This is an estate fresh watercolor painting dating to about 1900. It is signed lower right but I cant make out a legit name on it. it appears to read R. Chiba... It is an amazing painting for sure and depicts a figure standing down on a path with a foggy mist surrounding the forest around him. The use of light is very interesting to say the least, very moody yet serene, it is done by a well schooled artist and is all original with the mat and framing with original cut nails holding it in. Measures; painting sight size 12" x 19" framed 18 1/4" x 25 1/2" (30.48cm x 48.2cm, 46.3cm x 64.7cm) .

What stands out about this painting is its Impressionism style, which captures light a fleeting way.
