Josef Mauder (1884-1969), also known as “Sepp”, was a versatile artist who was born in Munich and later died in Pullach i. Isartal. Born as the son of Bruno Mauder, the chief caretaker of the Bavarian kings Ludwig II and Otto, and brother of the well-known artisan and glass artist Bruno Mauder, Josef Mauder was surrounded by artistic activity from his youth.
