This is a wonderfully competent miniature portrait painted on copper, and possibly signed by Frans Pourbus the Younger (b. 1569 d. 1622). If this painting was done by Frans Pourbus the Younger, the Flemish portraitist renowned for his depictions of people in various courts, he may have had to shorten his signature to “Porbus” for lack of space.
