Mood over detail, in the American Tonalist manner of J. Francis Murphy and Bruce Crane. Artwork is 6.5” x 9.5” Appears to be oil on board based on the surface and craquelure, but a light moisture test lifted some material, so the medium isn’t verified. Offered as found. American Tonalist School, early 20th century, circa 1900–1915. Offered as unattributed. In an antique distressed giltwood frame. Condition: overall very fine with age craquelure, a diagonal surface scratch, minor wear throughout, the frame shows gilt losses.
