This auction is for an antique painting of a 19th century lady with a fabulous ‘hair do’ and a darling spaniel type dog. I believe she is handpainted. Fantastic tortoise frame. I do not know if she was a famous or popular socialite of the time. I researched her but came up with no matches. Color is nice and vivid, on a panel. This does appear to have a makers mark/ signature but it is unfamiliar to me. Measures approximately 4 5/8” c 5 5/8”. Lots of detail!
