ARTIST: Unsigned 17th Century Dutch School TITLE: "Butchers SHop With Hanging Pig" SIGNED: unsigned MEDIUM: oil on panel SIZE: 71cm x 55cm inclusive of frame, the panel alone is 56cm x 40cm CONDITION: Historical repair to a split in the board otherwise very good condition. The split doesn't really show at all when hanging but we've photographed with a view to highlighting it so potential buyers can see the worst of it DETAIL: An amazing quality 17th Century oil painting, likely of Dutch origin. Beautifully painted and a very striking scene which is charming as it also includes a cat, dog and a child with the parents in the background. The hanging pig is the focus of the painting and its wonderfully detailed painted - a quite stunning and most unusual old master painting.
