Alexandre Delatour (also DeLatour, de la Tour) was born in 1780 in Brussels, and died in 1858 in Schaerbeek. Delatour exhibited at Salon of Paris from 1804 to 1810. This superior quality miniature was recognized by currently world-best specialist in portrait miniatures, Dr. Bodo Hofstetter (Berlin) as very typical work of Belgian artist Alexandre Delatour.
