Pictured are a pair of Mid-Century Modern African gouache paintings on paper, possibly originating from the Belgian Congo or other African regions during the mid-20th century. Most likely 1950 to 1960’s. They are both signed in the bottom right hand corner. They feature stylized tribal scenes, often depicting warriors or dancers in vivid colors against a gray background. Each is framed and matted. Measure just over 8 inches square. The pictures themselves are in good condition. The frames each have some scratching on them. Please reach out with any questions
